SMILE sessions have built a strong bonding between students and volunteers.
Volunteers are desiring to meet their students in person.
Ms. Sarika Chadha is such a volunteer who visited Manovikas on 5 November, 2022 and spent quality time with her students.
Ms.Sarika was found as a mentor of her students rather than a teacher.
Ms. Sarika Chadha shared her journey of enlightening herself through the SMILE project. Her sympathy for SMILE students gradually converted into empathy. Initially disability made her sad but now she feels proud realizing the abilities among the students with special needs.
