This is a story of a young, gifted artist Rishi Datta. He was born with an extra chromosome (Trisomy 21– Down’s Syndrome). His father, Ranjan Datta, is an IT professional working in an MNC and his mother, Asmita Datta, is a homemaker. He was a very happy, joyful and social child. “Rishi says, I am fond of music, dance and drawing…”
At the age of only 5 years, he started to show his interest in sketching and colouring. When all the kids used to play on the ground, he played with colours at home. Even he started painting on the walls of the room and we allowed him to do so to express his thoughts and passion. Seeing his interest, his mother appointed an art teacher at home when he was only 5 years old.
His artworks are quite simple, but he loves to apply all vibrant colours which bring a lot of happiness, hope and peace in the paintings.
