The course will commence from the 1st Week of August 2021
Introduction:
The United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD) which India ratified in 2007. The Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPD) Act 2016 defines inclusive education as a system of education wherein students with and without disabilities learn together and the system of teaching and learning is to be reasonably accommodated according to the individual’s requirements.
To make the system of education work, it becomes essential that the methods used for teaching and learning are adapted to meet the individual needs and requirements of children with disabilities, and the Individualised Education Program (IEP) is one of the tolls where the students shall not be deprived of his or her personal liberty only on the ground of disability.
Why?
It is the duty of schools, institutions and appropriate Government and the local authorities shall endeavour that all educational institutions funded or recognised by them provide inclusive education to the children with disabilities and towards that end shall provide necessary support individualised or otherwise in environments that maximise academic and social development consistent with the goal of full inclusion.
Join this Training Programme on IEP Development, and it may help you to understand “reasonable accommodation” and necessary and appropriate modification and adjustments, without imposing a disproportionate or undue burden on a particular student, to ensure to students with a disability the enjoyment or exercise of rights equally with others.
The course will commence from the 1st Week of August 2021
