V.R.P. Sheilaja Rao: A Distinguished Leader in Special Education

V.R.P. Sheilaja Rao is a highly respected and accomplished figure in special education, with over three decades of experience dedicated to empowering and including individuals with intellectual disabilities. As the Former Head of the Department of Special Education at the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disability (NIEPID), she has played a pivotal role in shaping special education programs and policies across India.

Since September 2022, Sheilaja Rao has served as an Honorary Consultant in Special and Remedial Education at Ambika Sishu Kendra (ASK), Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh.
