Dreams Do Come True: Chirag Achieves Independence with New Phone!

We’re thrilled to share an achievement from one of Manovikas inspiring alumni, and self advocate, Chirag!

Many of you will remember Chirag as a dedicated student in our vocational training program. Even then, he has a strong desire for self-sufficiency, dreaming of a life where he could enjoy the same independence as his siblings and friends. His journey has been one of steady progress and firm /strong determination.

After successfully completing his vocational training, Chirag began his career by working in a local stationery shop. But his thirst for knowledge and growth didn’t stop there. Chirag really wanted to learn. He also wanted to get better at things. So, his skills kept growing

From his earliest days at Manovikas, Chirag stood out as a hardworking and bright individual. He diligently honed essential life skills, including managing his finances and navigating his surroundings. This foundation proved invaluable as he began earning a basic salary of ₹15,000 per month working as a housekeeping staff member at the prestigious Hotel Taj.

And now, Through diligent saving from his earnings, Chirag recently  purchased his very own new phone!

This achievement is a testament to Chirag’s dedication, his ability to manage his finances responsibly, and his unwavering commitment to his goals. His parents, and indeed Chirag himself, is understandably overjoyed and immensely proud of this significant step towards greater independence.
