My MSWC Experience at Manovikas IGNOU Special Study Centre-29047D
My name is Chinki Sharma, and I was a student of the June 2020 batch for the Master of Social Work Counselling program. In June 2024, I successfully completed my master’s degree at IGNOU, and I am excited to share my journey and experiences with you. One of the key factors in this program is the study center that is assigned to you, as they play a crucial role throughout your studies. The MSWC program at IGNOU is recognized by the UGC and provides valuable employment opportunities. Personally, I was fortunate enough to be assigned MANOVIKAS CHARITABLE SOCIETY as my study center, which offered exceptional support and encouragement throughout my time in the Social Work Counselling program. The faculty provided timely guidance, virtual classes, and constant support to students like me. Their cooperation and support made it possible for me to successfully complete my masters.
During my time as a student, I found that IGNOU’s MSWC program has a comprehensive curriculum that covers a plethora of Counselling topics such as Family, School, Community settings, etc. The emphasis on practical exposure was highly beneficial and required self-discipline to excel in academics. Admittedly, there were moments when I felt overwhelmed by the difficulties of this program and even considered dropping out during Fieldwork Practical’s or report writing (Journals). However, thanks to my perseverance, self-motivation, and the unwavering support of my superiors and fellow batchmates at my study center, not only did I manage to complete my masters but also graduated with “FIRST DIVISION WITH DISTINCTION” from IGNOU…
Looking back on this experience now, I am filled with immense gratitude for being a student at Manovikas charitable society study center. The staff members, supervisors, administrative team (Dr. Alok Kumar Bhuwan Sir, Ms. Neeru Grover, and Ms. Ruby Nirala) were incredibly supportive and played a significant role in my achievements. I want to thank you for giving me the opportunity to share my journey with you.
With heartfelt gratitude, thank you.
