Rakhi’s Flight” – A Story of Hope and Determination
Rakhi is a student with intellectual disabilities who, despite her special needs, dreams of improving her life and becoming self-reliant. When she first came to the LoveArts training center under the Shuchita Program of the Manovikas Charitable Society, she was a little nervous. But her eyes held a spark – a desire to learn something new.
Over the past 6 months, Rakhi has learned many craft items and techniques – such as different types of beadwork, jute craft, Bandhanwar making, etc. Initially, she faced some challenges, but the LoveArts instructors and her fellow students taught her with patience and affection.
Now, Rakhi not only creates beautiful craft items but also knows how to pack and display them well. Her creations are very popular with customers, and she is now moving towards becoming self-sufficient.
Rakhi’s journey is an inspiration to us all – it shows that if given the right guidance and support, every person can create a unique identity for themselves.
