Worldwide Spectrum of VDMT

Vedic Dance and Music Therapy (VDMT) programme is run under the International Certification of Dance Studies from International Dance Council CID (The United Nations of Dance), UNESCO at Manovikas.

Manovikas Charitable Society is Member of The International Dance Council CID, official partner of UNESCO, validates teaching by offering the International Certification of Dance Studies.

Vedic Dance and Music Therapy (VDMT) was developed after research work done by the Manovikas Family on the association of music and dance with various aspects of creation and the positive impact of music and dance on the body and mind.

The research findings establish that Gandharva Veda, the Upaveda of the “Sama Veda,” is the study of all art forms including:

• music
• dance and 
• poetry. 

This Vedic research on dance and music contains information about the laws and ways to practice music and dance as well as how music and dance work as a therapy to heal the body, mind and soul. 

Manovikas Family has presented Vedic Dance and Music Therapy (VDMT) programme in the General Assembly of International Dance Council CID (The United Nations of Dance), UNESCO in the year 2019 and appreciated by the more than 306 Members from different countries.

Vedic Dance and Music Therapy (VDMT) programme has three levels of courses

• Certificate in  Vedic Dance and Music Therapy

• Diploma in  Vedic Dance and Music Therapy

• Advance Diploma in  Vedic Dance and Music Therapy

Each level of course has compact and comprehensive knowledge of Vedic rituals and mantras used for the Physical, Mental, Environmental and Spiritual healing of any person.

The International Dance Council CID, the official partner of UNESCO, validates teaching by offering free of charge the International Certification of Dance Studies.

Each level is at least 150 hours, including classes, rehearsals, performances, lectures.

Manovikas sends all credentials to CID for Certification on parchment paper. An official hands parchment to the student at a special ceremony.

After Certificate the student can proceed to Diploma  (another 150 hours) then another 150 hours for an Advanced Diploma, according to the requirements of the curriculum designed by Manovikas eGyanshala.
