In the common psychosocial practice, it has been found that persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDDs) are often perceived as either asexual or impotent or as sexually ignorant or ignorant about masculine or sexual relations, and sexuality education is considered unnecessary or even harmful. Society at large thinks that they will begin to have sexual problem behaviours once they receive sex education.
Manovikas Charitable Society is prioritising the need for sexual self-advocacy for individuals with IDD. We look forward to implementing the UNCRPD, the convention that advocates for the human rights of individuals with IDD.

Whether young people living with mental, physical or emotional disabilities, all people are sexual beings and all have an equal right to enjoy their sexuality in a healthy manner, including a pleasurable and safe sexual experience. Sexual rights mean providing a pleasurable environment, free from conflict and violence, and access to quality sexuality education services.
