The second-year D.Ed Special Education (Intellectual and developmental Disabilities) students recently completed their practical assignment by conducting home visits for children with high support needs. They took this opportunity to educate parents on issues related to disabilities and provide them with strategies to help their children overcome challenges. During these meaningful interactions, the parents also shared their own difficulties in caring for children with high support needs. As part of the D.ed syllabus, these independent home visits presented valuable opportunities for students to broaden their understanding of disabilities and its associated issues.
