It is our pleasure to share that Dr. Alok Kumar “Bhuwan”, Managing Secretary of Manovikas, has been chosen to receive the esteemed “Bihar Gaurav Award” (Pride of Bihar) in Patna. The award ceremony will be held on August 28, 2023, at the SCADA Business Center, coinciding with “Khel Divas”. Dr. Alok Bhuwan’s exceptional work in the Disability Sector, his unwavering commitment to ethical conduct, integrity, civic and social responsibility, and unparalleled professionalism have earned him this recognition. The award is presented by Special Olympic Bharat, along with Samaprpan and other disability advocacy organisations.

Dr. Alok Bhuwan’s tireless dedication to the field of Rehabilitation Science and Special Education has led to remarkable progress in the empowerment of disabilities, particularly those that involve intellectual and developmental differences. His hard work has been recognized by prestigious organizations such as the International Dance Council under UNESCO, IGNOU, CBSE, the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), and the National Trust.

His efforts have encouraged countless individuals to pursue inclusive higher education and develop their skills, opening doors to new opportunities and fulfilling careers.

Dr. Alok Bhuwan’s unwavering commitment to equal opportunities for disabled persons and their families is a powerful reminder that we can all positively impact the world around us with determination and dedication.

Dr Alok’s journey began in his hometown of Purnea, Bihar, where he completed his schooling at Zila School Purnea in 1990. He pursued further education and received training in Intellectual Disability and Vocational Rehabilitation at the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (formerly known as NIMH), Secunderabad. He continued his studies at Osmania University, Hyderabad. His hard work and dedication paid off as he earned a doctorate in Special Education and Rehabilitation Science from International University. 

His dedication towards serving others led him to establish Manovikas Charitable Society in Delhi in 19997. Today, he has touched the lives of over one million stakeholders through education, care, and advocacy programs. Dr Alok’s selfless service is a shining example of how one individual can significantly impact the world.

यह बताते हुए हमें खुशी हो रही है कि मनोविकास के प्रबंध सचिव डॉ आलोक कुमार “भुवन” को पटना में प्रतिष्ठित “बिहार गौरव पुरस्कार” (बिहार का गौरव) प्राप्त करने के लिए चुना गया है। सम्मान समारोह 28 अगस्त, 2023 को “खेल दिवस” के अवसर पर SCADA बिजनेस सेंटर में आयोजित होने जा रहा है। दिव्यांगता के क्षेत्र में डॉ. आलोक भुवन के असाधारण कार्य, नैतिक आचरण, सत्यनिष्ठा, नागरिक और सामाजिक जिम्मेदारी और अद्वितीय व्यावसायिकता के प्रति उनकी अटूट प्रतिबद्धता ने उन्हें यह मान्यता दिलाई है। यह पुरस्कार स्पेशल ओलंपिक भारत के साथ-साथ समर्पण और अन्य विकलांगता वकालत संगठनों द्वारा प्रदान किया जाता है।

पुनर्वास विज्ञान और विशेष शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में डॉ. आलोक भुवन के अथक समर्पण से दिव्यांगों के सशक्तिकरण में उल्लेखनीय प्रगति हुई है, विशेष रूप से उनमें जो बौद्धिक और विकास संबंधी मतभेदों से जुड़े हैं। उनकी कड़ी मेहनत को यूनेस्को के तहत अंतर्राष्ट्रीय नृत्य परिषद, इग्नू, सीबीएसई, भारतीय पुनर्वास परिषद (आरसीआई) और नेशनल ट्रस्ट जैसे प्रतिष्ठित संगठनों द्वारा मान्यता दी गई है।

उनके प्रयासों ने अनगिनत व्यक्तियों को समावेशी उच्च शिक्षा प्राप्त करने और अपने कौशल विकसित करने, नए अवसरों और सफल करियर के द्वार खोलने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया है।

दिव्यांगत व्यक्तियों और उनके परिवारों के लिए समान अवसरों के प्रति डॉ. आलोक भुवन की अटूट प्रतिबद्धता एक शक्तिशाली अनुस्मारक है कि हम सभी दृढ़ संकल्प और समर्पण के साथ अपने आसपास की दुनिया पर सकारात्मक प्रभाव डाल सकते हैं।

डॉ. आलोक की यात्रा उनके गृह ज़िला पूर्णिया, बिहार से शुरू हुई, जहां उन्होंने 1990 में जिला स्कूल पूर्णिया में अपनी स्कूली शिक्षा पूरी की। उन्होंने आगे की शिक्षा हासिल की और बौद्धिक दिव्यांगता वाले व्यक्तियों के सशक्तिकरण के लिए राष्ट्रीय संस्थान, सिकंदराबाद में बौद्धिक दिव्यांगता और व्यावसायिक पुनर्वास में प्रशिक्षण प्राप्त किया (पहले एनआईएमएच के नाम से जाना जाता था)। उन्होंने हैदराबाद के उस्मानिया विश्वविद्यालय में अपनी पढ़ाई जारी रखी। उनकी कड़ी मेहनत और समर्पण सफल रहा और उन्होंने इंटरनेशनल यूनिवर्सिटी से विशेष शिक्षा और पुनर्वास विज्ञान में डॉक्टरेट की उपाधि प्राप्त की।

दूसरों की सेवा के प्रति उनके समर्पण ने उन्हें 19997 में दिल्ली में मनोविकास चैरिटेबल सोसाइटी की स्थापना करने के लिए प्रेरित किया। आज, उन्होंने शिक्षा, देखभाल और वकालत कार्यक्रमों के माध्यम से दस लाख से अधिक हितधारकों के जीवन को छुआ है। डॉ. आलोक की निस्वार्थ सेवा इस बात का ज्वलंत उदाहरण है कि कैसे एक व्यक्ति दुनिया पर महत्वपूर्ण प्रभाव डाल सकता है।
